Happy New Year! We are excited about starting 2020 with a focus on our Professional Sprayers People (PSP) business. We have signed an agreement with Guarany, a leading Brazilian company, to be an exclusive distributor to the UK, France, Spain and Portugal of their professional spraying equipment.
The Guarany range of professional spraying equipment is aimed at horticulturalists, groundskeepers, landscapers as well as keen gardeners and includes standard products such as backpack (or knapsack) sprayers and misters. Yet, it goes beyond these to some really innovative bits of unique kit and accessories which make spraying equipment multi-functional and easy to use. As well as being superbly and robustly made, all the equipment is ergonomically designed to be comfortable to use and offers neat extras which make the operator's job easier.
The Dosimeter Valve is an example of one of the accessories we are particularly chomping at the bit to introduce to the market. This bit of equipment facilitates precise dosing of fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides, avoiding underdosing or overdosing and thus preventing wastage of product (so saving money) and avoiding any negative affects on the surrounding environment.
Obtaining the exact dose of chemical per plant is extremely important for plant growers and the Dosimeter Valve really does enable exceptional precision with the dosage range varying from 2.0-25ml. The valve is equipped with a Dosage Control System (DCS), a retaining pressure system which means dosing is highly accurate. The dosage amount is easily selected and adjusted by turning the red control knob on the top of the unit. Best of all, the Dosimeter Valve can be used with any backpack sprayer, whatever the brand.
As well as this smart accessory, Guarany offers a range of equipment to distribute granulated products and powders. So, for example, if you wanted to spread or apply fertiliser in granule form to, say, the base of trees, the backpack granule applicator means you can do it as easily as if you were spraying liquids. A granule injector accessory means the product can be applied below ground to roots while a spreader accessory allows for wider areas to be treated as the operator walks along.
Guarany has impeccable credentials in the professional spraying arena. It is a very well respected company in Brazil and the leading supplier of professional spraying equipment in South America. It has a visionary leader, Alida Bellandi, who upholds very high environmental and ethical standards and the company works very closely with the industry in Brazil to ensure it is designing and manufacturing truly innovative, useful, functional products. We look forward to introducing the Guarany range in the coming months and to revolutionising (or at least making a whole lot easier) the jobs of anyone who uses professional spraying equipment.
